Retro Game Network | The New Retro Gaming Community ? CGE ...

Howdy everyone! Just wanted to give everyone the heads up about Classic Gaming Expo 2K12! It?s just 11 short days away! Classic Gaming Expo will be taken place at The Plaza Hotel & Casino in Downtown Las Vegas, on August 11th & 12th! We have some small details for you, which are sure to get those attendees very excited!

To start off, David Crane, the classic programmer of such games as Pitfall, Dragster, A Boy & His Blob and Ghostbusters, will not only be in attendance of CGE 2k12, but is also planning to announce his latest gaming project! He will be kicking off the entire convention at 10:00am at The Plaza?s Showroom on August 11th. There is nothing leaked out about what exactly this project could be, so you will just have to wait along with the rest of us!

There will also be a preview of the upcoming Disney motion picture ?Wreck-It Ralph?, which I know for one thing, *I* am certainly looking forward to seeing! There will be a booth at the main shows floor, where trailers for the film will be playing, and of course, lots of free stuff given away for promotion. Not to mention, the actual Fix-It Felix Jr arcade cabinet will also be available for play! Wreck It Ralph is scheduled to be released on November 2, 2012.

Attendees will also be able to compete to get the highest score on reproduction cartridges of two of the most saught out games for the NES: Nintendo World Championship 1990 & Nintendo Campus Challenge! The highest combined score from playing both sets of games will win trophies and t-shirts, not to mention bragging rights.

New at this years convention is the ability to actually preview the auction items before they go to the floor! A photo preview is available on the official CGE website, so you will have plenty of time to get your thoughts together on what you?d like to potentially purchase, as well as get prepared financially!

Registration is still open, and discounts are still available! All of the details on where to stay, up to date pricing information and lots of great information and previews can be found on the official Classic Gaming Expo website at http://www.cgexpo.com. We hope that everyone that gets a chance to attend will have an ultimate blast, and we here at Retro Game Network will certainly be keeping you up to date with the latest information and details, as they are made available to us. Game on!
