The Samsung GALAXY Note has been a big winner for the Korean based manufacturer and the device has managed to capture the attention of those
who want a combination smartphone and tablet. Of course, the attention of Samsung and the carriers that offer its products has been focused for the last month on the Samsung Galaxy S III, and rightly so considering the sales figures that the handset is ringing up. But now that the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S III has already taken place overseas, and has started in the United States, there has been some talk of the sequel to the popular Samsung phablet. The latest rumor, which we already passed on to you, mentions how the Samsung GALAXY Note II will come with a 5.4 inch plastic substrate OLED display instead of glass to make the screen flexible. The rumor also mentions a 12MP camera, but again, this is just wild speculation. Another rumor has the Samsung GALAXY Note II coming to market with a 5.5 inch WSXGA+ (1680x1050) Super AMOLED display, Samsung Exynos 5250 processor, an 8MP camera, 1.5GB of RAM, S Beam, S Voice, NFC, and LTE connectivity. These particular specs came from a trusted source for UbuntuLife.net and as we already had told you, the source expects the device to launch this October.
Of course, all of the speculation about a sequel to the Samsung GALAXY Note means absolutely nothing if there is no second phablet on the way. But we might actually have seen the first sign that Samsung does indeed to produce a follow-up model to the GALAXY Note. A tweet from Samsung Mobile Arabia polls readers about which of three models are they looking forward to the most, the Samsung Galaxy Beam, the Samsung GALAXY Tab 2 or the Samsung GALAXY Note II. While this is far from an announcement or introduction of the model, the region was among the first to get the Samsung Galaxy S III and as such, might be well connected to the thinking of the powers that be at Samsung. Since the original Samsung GALAXY Note was introduced at last year's IFA in Berlin it is expected that the sequel will be introduced at this year's IFA.
